CLIFTON, NJ (February 28, 2012) – The U.S. Department of State, is bringing celebrated drum virtuoso / D.A.D. Founder Pat Gesualdo to help special needs Israeli and Palestinians children in the West Bank region of Israel. Gesualdo will hold D.A.D. workshops in the region, in an effort help bring Israelis and Palestinians together for social, therapeutic, and peaceful interaction.

“The D.A.D. Program sounds fascinating, and it is something that we are very much interested in for helping disabled people, or people with special needs,” says U.S. State Department.

D.A.D., the U.S. Department of State, and various facilities in Israel have been working very hard to help as many Israeli and Palestinian people in the West Bank region as possible,” says D.A.D. President/CEO Pat Gesualdo. “It is a great honor to help the people of this war torn region anyway we can.”

PAT GESUALDO FEATURED ON WAVE 3 NBC TELEVISION

TOWACO, N.J. (JANUARY 4, 2012) –Pat Gesualdo, celebrated drum virtuoso and Founder/CEO of the non-profit organization D.A.D (Drums and Disabilities), will be featured in an interview on NBC Television Wave 3, in Lousiville, Kentucky, on January 4, 2014. Gesualdo will be interviewed for his role as lead advocate for a 9 year old boy with Cerebral Palsy.

In a story that has ignited a huge international outcry, Gesualdo has been asked by local Senators and family members to represent a 9 year old Kentucky boy with Cerebral Palsy. The boy’s neighborhood Home Owners Association was demanding his parents remove necessary therapy equipment from his backyard, which his therapists prescribed.

Kentucky State Legislators Richard Henderson (D-Jeffersonville) and Keith Hall (D-Phelps) asked D.A.D. President/CEO Pat Gesualdo to assist them in writing new Legislation for House Bill 160.  State Representative Henderson and Hall, and Gesualdo, held a news conference in the Kentucky State Capitol to announce the Law Making Campaign. In addition, the group announced that D.A.D. has filed a Civil Rights violation with the United States Department of Justice, on behalf of the little boy with Cerebral Palsy.

“Mr. Gesualdo and his D.A.D. Organization will direct the National campaign for this Legislation,” said Kentucky State Legislator Richard Henderson (D-Jeffersonville). “I wrote several key provisions in this Legislation” said D.A.D. President/CEO Pat Gesualdo. “As a result, the D.A.D. Program is the perfect outlet to help enact this vital Legislation on a National basis. This issue started because a special needs little boy and his family were being threatened, harassed, and discriminated against by their neighborhood Home Owners Association. This is a major violation of this little boy’s civil rights. I will pursue this vigorously, in an effort to protect this little boy’s civil rights, and for the protection of all disabled children throughout the United States,” Gesualdo said in the International news conference.

 

Gesualdo has been asked by Senators and Congressman throughout the United States to assist them in writing laws to help protect the rights of disabled children and their parents from neighborhood Home Owners Associations. State and Federal lawmakers through the Country consider Gesualdo’s advocacy as Groundbreaking legal protection for disabled children throughout the United States.

D.A.D. CIVIL RIGHTS BATTLE FEATURED IN LA TIMES

ROCKAWAY SCHOOLS ADD D.A.D. PROGRAM
