BERGEN COUNTY SCHOOLS ADD D.A.D. PROGRAM

LODI, N.J. (May 14, 2008) – The Bergen County school system has added the non-profit organization D.A.D. (Drums and Disabilities) to their curriculum, In an effort to help their special needs students with the D.A.D.’s award winning “Healing Art of Drum Therapy” Curriculum.
“The students really enjoy the drumming,” says Holly Ehle, Principal of the Bergen County South Jointure Commission. “The focus and sustained attention displayed by the students when using D.A.D.’s “Healing Art of Drum Therapy” is remarkable! This multi-sensory program works on auditory, visual and kinesthetic learning for students to improve their concentration and ability to follow directions.”
“It is a great honor to have the wonderful teachers in the Bergen County School System take part in the D.A.D. Program,” says D.A.D. Program President/CEO Pat Gesualdo. “They have developed an extremely impressive curriculum, and we are all working together to help their students have a bright and successful future.”

Drums and Disabilities (D.A.D.),is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit research program. Psychologists, neuroscientists, law enforcement agencies, special needs therapists, child protective service agencies, and teachers in over 15 countries use the D.A.D. Program to help special needs children develop physical and cognitive functioning.
